The year is 1311.

The day of the Viking is coming to an end.

They called him Eirik the Fierce.  A Norseman bred from a long line of Viking Jarls and the leader of a starving Icelandic settlement.  The news from England--the King is offering a bounty equal to a year's harvest for the pelts of Scotland’s wolves.

What Eirik found in the highland forests of Scotland was much more valuable than he could imagine, her name was Sable.

For Sable, protecting the lives of the Solarian wolves is ingrained into the soul of every Wolf Warrior.  When the battle-trained Norsemen invade the Realm territory, Sable has no choice but to fight.  Forced into submission and taken prisoner Sable must surrender or die.

However, Eirik will find a female Wolf Warrior of the highest order does not take well to a life of Viking slave and he begins to wonder which of them has become enslaved.

A VIKING’S VOW is a beautiful love story with fantastic characters.  Eirik is a great alpha hero who shows he is capable of love while still keeping a firm hand on his woman.  Sable is just as fiery, and very stubborn.  The book played out in my head like a movie.  Ms. Monet captured some wonderful settings, which she described with vivid perfection.  The story was loving and sensual, with enough action to make it exciting and unforgettable.  This is a story of survival – both of love and physical, against all odds.  A VIKING’S VOW is a wonderful addition to the Solarian wolf warrior series, and I highly recommend it and Rae Monet to everyone.  I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. A Romance Review - 5 Roses

Although this story is written to stand alone, there are references to other Solarian books that will leave you wanting to hunt them down to read as well. Author Rae Monet expertly creates three-dimensional characters in this short, but spicy, Viking romance. Some short stories are unable to fulfill the reader’s satisfaction completely, but Ms. Monet has managed to pack A Viking’s Vow with enough substance and verve that you will not realize it is a condensed tale. With the exception being that you are not ready to say goodbye to the hero and heroine. Fans of early Deveraux and Lindsay will enjoy Rae Monet’s A Viking’s Vow. Reviewed by Rho.

I loved the first two books in this series, but I have to say that A VIKING’S VOW is definitely my favorite. It sizzles right from the start and captivates you with its engrossing storyline and lovable characters. Whether they’re fighting or making love, Eirik and Sable are intense and passionate. Both are fierce, fearless warriors through and through, but love teaches them that surrender and compromise can be much sweeter than battle. A VIKING’S VOW is a fabulous addition to the Solarian Wolf Warriors series. I can’t wait to see where Ms. Monet takes the Solarians next.

While A VIKING’S VOW can stand alone, I recommend reading the previous books first. Eirik and Sable’s story actually begins in the first book, THE LOST WOLF WARRIOR, a story that provides a lot of background information about the Solarians. And you don’t want to miss the second book, THE SOLARIAN RAVEN, which beautifully ties up a loose end from the first book. Basically, you should definitely plan on reading all three, because once you’ve read one
, you’ll be hooked, and you won’t be satisfied until you’ve read them all.

... This is a definite twist on the normal Wolf Warrior series, this time the warrior is a woman who knows her strength. Eirik is determined to keep Sable no matter how badly she wants to leave... The third installment in the Wolf Warrior series, this book turns the table and sets the standard with a strong warrior woman and her struggle between freedom and love. Reviewer: Angel Brewer

JERR - 4 Stars

...A Vikings Vow starts with a bang. This searing hot scene between Eirik and Sable will have you reaching for the ice water, and it sets the tone for the rest of their encounters. But there is also a great plot to enjoy... In spite of difficulties, these two people have a tender love story that survives all the obstacles. The descriptions of the villagers and Eirik's family create a believable picture and round out our understanding of the fierce warrior... This is a very engaging historical for readers who love sexy Viking sagas with a touch of the paranormal. Patrice Storie

...A Viking’s Vow is a wicked tale of submission and love.  The Claiming Ceremony is the best scene in the whole book.  Sable and Eirik have a bloody battle of dominance.  I’m not going to say who won, but I’ll hint that neither were losers in this love battle.  Of course, the battle that ensues over the ‘secret’ is really good too. ...
